Meet Our Counselors
Ralph Cook, M. Ed., LMFT ~ Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Ralph has worked as a Music Educator, Minister of Music, and a Minister of Youth. After many years of teaching and church ministry he felt called to work with families and individuals (both children and adults), in the area of counseling. Ralph has a B.S. in Music Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. He obtained his Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. Ralph and his wife Joni founded Lantern Lane Farm in 2004. Ralph is the Clinical Director of LLF. In addition to counseling, he serves as a consultant to area churches, provides workshops and seminars to churches and other organizations. He also leads Marriage Intensives for couples. Ralph has worked with couples who come to LLF for Marriage Intensives from across the nation. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and an AAMFT Clinical Fellow. Ralph and Joni have two sons and five grandchildren. He loves movies, music, spending time with his wife and family and is an avid fan of John Grisham books.
Phillip Bates, MA ~ Professional Counselor Under Supervision
Phillip received his Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. He has a passion for empowering individuals to overcome personal obstacles. He has worked to help people with self esteem issues, grief, anxiety, trauma (PTSD), and depression. Phillip became a counselor to encourage people in their quests to live healthier, happier lives. Before receiving his Master's, Phillip earned two degrees from the University of Mississippi, a BA in Psychology and a BS in Forensic Chemistry.
Growing up, Phillip always played sports and that is where he gained an inherent love of the sports world. Being a team player for more than a decade has provided him with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life, but also a special affinity for athletes. His background in volunteer coaching has given him valuable insight to helping people of all ages.
Tiffany Dillard, LPC-MHSP (temp), NCC ~ Professional Counselor Under Supervision
Tiffany received a Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. Her heart is happiest while working with children and adolescents. She has worked with youth and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, struggling with eating disorders and self-harm, as well as those who have experienced trauma. Her experience includes using a variety of therapeutic techniques including: cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, play therapy (currently pursuing certification), and experiential and creative techniques. She became a counselor to give clients a safe space, where they can explore hard issues and learn to let their true selves shine. She is happy and blessed to walk beside children, adolescents, and their families as they go through difficult times in their life.
Tiffany grew up in middle Tennessee and enjoys spending time with her family and pets during her free time. She is a child at heart and loves reading, superheroes, Harry Potter, Chuck Taylor shoes, American Girl, animals, and Netflix.
Jacob Dye, LPC, MHSP ~ Licensed Professional Counselor
Jacob received his Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Lipscomb University in 2012 and began working at Lantern Lane Farm in 2013. He is exceptionally passionate about helping teenagers, adults, and couples discover healing and their life’s purpose. Jacob frequently works with people who are experiencing addictions, anxiety, depression, eating disorders (including chronic over-eating), relationship difficulties, spiritual issues, and low self-esteem/ lack of personal direction. Jacob happily meets people where they are, regardless of their background or history. His passion is to empower his clients with the knowledge and skills that will allow them to find long-term success and healing. Jacob embraces an eclectic approach to counseling that includes Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, Solution Focused, and Gestalt Therapeutic techniques. Jacob is a local who grew up just a mile or so away from the farm! He is extremely passionate about health, having worked as a personal trainer and health coach for over 6 years. He enjoys running, competitive weight lifting, music, reading, and travel in his free time.
Tammie Elkins, MMFC/T~ Marriage and Family Therapist Under Supervision
Tammie Elkins sees children, teens, adults and couples. Her goal is to help you feel validated and understood. Tammie offers a safe, confidential and nonjudgmental environment that allows clients to explore thoughts, emotions and challenges.
Tammie likes to spend time reading and traveling, doing things with her family and playing with her dogs. She taught school for 20 years in Murfreesboro City Schools and this is a second career for her. She has also raised two boys, so she understands the challenges of being a parent, wife and caregiver.
Tammie would be honored to work with your child, your family or just you as an individual. She is level 1 and 2 trained in E.M.D.R. through Deb Kinnard and her training organization and would be happy to incorporate this method of therapy in a session. Tammie is also trained in many play therapy techniques and is happy to incorporate them with her clients.
Michelle Harris, MMFT ~ Marriage and Family Therapist Under Supervision
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, wife, and mom to two toddlers, Michelle Harris knows how fulfilling and challenging marriage and family life can be. Michelle has a passion for strengthening individuals, marriages, and families. She feels it is a privilege to help them heal and thrive. She loves to cheer others on in their pursuit of integrated health, restoration and self-care. Michelle received her Bachelors of Social Work from Olivet Nazarene University and went on to work with postpartum moms and families. Michelle then went back to school and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Michelle enjoys working with individuals, couples, and groups. Michelle frequently works with anxiety and depression, premarital couples utilizing PREPARE/ENRICH, women’s issues, struggling marriages, perinatal mood disorders, grief, self-esteem issues, parents struggling with their child’s sexual orientation, life transitions and stress. Michelle incorporates the following methods: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Experiential Therapy and Gottman techniques. She also loves utilizing the Enneagram and is a Type 8 with a 9 wing.
On any given day you may find Michelle chasing toddlers, cheering on her college-football officiating husband or on a date night with him, working out at Crossfit with friends, traveling, training for a half-marathon, reading, spending time with family and friends, writing song lyrics or blog posts
Grant Haun, MMFT ~ Marriage and Family Therapist Under Supervision
Grant considers it a joy to help clients process a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, addictions, stress, grief, relationship distress, marital issues, career concerns, and life stage transitions. He is especially passionate about helping young adults through the trials of emerging adulthood and helping them develop the self-awareness, self-control, and confidence to reach their career, relationship, and wellness goals.
Grant earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy (MMFC/T) at Trevecca Nazarene University in 2018 and completed additional training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the PREPARE/ENRICH premarital assessment. Grant uses several different therapeutic styles, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment work, career counseling, and various experiential therapies.
Grant is a jack-of-all-trades and a total nerd. He spends his free time reading, writing, weightlifting, running, hiking, going to see movies and shows, traveling, cooking up a storm, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Anna Partlow, M.ED, Equine Therapist
Anna has a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. Combining her passion for people and horses, she majored in Equestrian Sciences to become an Equine Assisted Therapist. She is an Equine Specialist with a focus in Trauma Therapy. She loves walking with people as they discover more about themselves and overcome challenges
When there is free time, you might find Anna spending time with family, reading, crafting, watching Netflix, or riding her horses.
Taryn Peterson, LMFT ~ Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Taryn received her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. She counsels a diverse range of clients, including adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Taryn considers it an honor to walk alongside hurting people as they face trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction, self harm, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and other challenges.
Taryn is trained in Brainspotting and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), methods known for their effectiveness in treating trauma and PTSD. She also incorporates methods such as Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She is passionate about the hope and healing clients receive through the therapeutic process.
Outside of the office, Taryn enjoys hiking, road trips, horses, and exploring landscape photography with her husband.
Kerri Tracey, LCSW ~ Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Kerri is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has a Master's of Social Work degree from Loma Linda University, California. She has been working with children and families for 15 years, with specialty experience in the areas of multidisciplinary early childhood intervention related to dysregulation/ tantrums, attachment, trauma, autism and specialized parenting. She has experience supporting varying diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
Kerri's passion is providing caregivers with strategies to improve their interactions with young children (ages 0-6). She is committed to looking at the whole picture of the family and the child and include seeing every possible area of their life as a strength to build upon.
Alyce Zellmer, MMFT ~ Marriage and Family Therapist Under Supervision
Alyce received her Master's in Marriage and Family therapy at Liberty University. She is also pursuing a certification in Sex Therapy, and has received training in the therapy process of Brainspotting. Her approach to counseling is eclectic, as she is more interested in finding what works best for the client. While she sees a variety of clients, her heart lies with pre-marital therapy, married couples struggling with intimacy, singles, and women who have experienced sexual trauma. She is intimately familiar with the Homeschooling culture and the struggles of the Music Industry.
A Middle Tennessee native, Alyce likes being outside when weather and time permits. She also loves reading (any genre, but fantasy/Sci-Fi is tops the list of the favorites), and animals (especially her dog, Jax). She used to describe herself as ‘nerd adjacent’ but is slowly coming to realize that her deep love of Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Superheroes, and words probably lands her in the middle of Nerdom.
