Equine Therapy

Equine therapy, also known as equine-assisted therapy (EAT) or equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP), is a therapeutic approach that involves interactions between patients and horses to promote emotional growth, healing, and mental health.

Clients engage with horses in activities such as grooming, feeding, leading or sharing the environment. These activities are designed to help patients build trust, develop emotional awareness, and learn new ways of responding to challenges.

The therapy leverages the bond between humans and horses. As highly sensitive and intuitive animals, horses can mirror human emotions and behaviors, providing feedback and insight into dynamics that may not be apparent.

Equine therapy is used for a wide range of individuals, including children, adolescents, and adults. It has been found particularly effective for those dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and addiction.
