Melanie Browning, EAGALA, Equine Specialist

As a Trained Eagala Equine Specialist, she works with therapists and their clients, utilizing horses as part of the team on their counseling journey. Eagala is an acronym for Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. Melanie is also a trained Stephens Minister. Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-on-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life. As a lifelong horse owner and avid rider, Melanie spends her weekends camping and trail riding or practicing her new horse venture of team roping. She grew up participating in 4-H and has never outgrown the “I love horses” phase.

Melanie Browning has joined Lantern Lane Farm. Originally from Ohio, Melanie moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in the late 80s to pursue life outside the snowbelt, where she met her husband, Brent. Melanie and her husband have two daughters and currently attend Long Hollow Church as a family. Before having children and becoming a stay-at-home mom, Melanie had a successful career as a Series 7 Investment Representative for many years at a brokerage firm, including J.C. Bradford and Morgan Keegan. Melanie also enjoys traveling, especially internationally, with her family.
