Laura Moreno
In 2020, Laura returned to college, earning her Associate of Arts in Psychology from Nashville State Community College. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Family Science at Lipscomb University. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lipscomb.
Laura finds joy in combining her love of the creative arts with her commitment to mental wellness. She has a special passion for equine therapy and enjoys working with therapy horses. If clients are curious about exploring equine-assisted therapy, Laura welcomes the opportunity to share more. While still expanding her therapeutic toolbox, she gravitates toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Restorative Therapy, Art Therapy, and Equine Therapy.
She is especially passionate about working with couples (including pre-marital), as well as individuals navigating singleness and relationship challenges. Laura is thrilled to join Lantern Lane Farm as an intern and looks forward to creating a warm, welcoming space for healing, laughter, and self-discovery.
When she’s not working as a therapist, you can find Laura sipping coffee, spending time with her husband and dog, and pursuing her creative passions.
Originally from sunny Southern California, Laura relocated to Nashville in 2014, where she currently lives with her husband and their beloved dog. With a background in musical theatre, Laura trained as an actor, dancer, and singer at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. She later returned to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television, and also trained in stand-up comedy at The Ice House in Pasadena. Laura continues to perform comedy in and around Nashville.
Laura has always been passionate about storytelling—whether through film, theatre, or personal narratives—and believes in the power of stories to move and heal us. This passion led her to help others find and share their own stories through therapeutic work. While the performing arts remain close to her heart, Laura is also a dedicated advocate for mental health.
