Kendra Bradford
Kendra Bradford LPC-MHSP (temp) ~ Professional Counselor Under Supervision
Kendra received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. She also has a Masters in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and a Bachelors in Elementary Education. During her beginning years of being a teacher, Kendra noticed many of her students had dire emotional needs. She also encountered many parents giving all they had yet still feeling completely overwhelmed with the woes of raising children. She decided to pursue the field of counseling so she could develop a skillset to aid students, parents, and other stakeholders in an educational setting. As she worked to obtain the needed internship hours to complete her counseling program, she developed a love for aiding individuals, families, and groups with the things they presented in therapy sessions.
Kendra is passionate about aiding teenage and adult clients with the things that come up for them as they maneuver through their day to day lives by providing a welcoming, empathic space and an invitation to join them on their quest for healing. Kendra is skilled in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-concept/low self-esteem/low self-worth, parental woes, relationship difficulties, and traumatic issues. She enthusiastically meets clients where they are. Kendra wholeheartedly believes when people feel accepted and understood by another person, they become open to exploring ways their lives could be different and allow trusted individuals to join them as they explore.
When Kendra is not providing therapy, you can find her spending time with family and friends, riding roller coasters, playing sports, in a yoga class, reading, or writing. She also enjoys allowing her creativity to run free in many different capacities.
